Honoring Native America
and the Legacy of Richard Oakes, Mohawk Warrior

Fawn Oakes, Anna Oakes, Lenny Oakes and Sherry Oakes

Anna Oakes
Richard Oakes, Mohawk Warrior, the charismatic leader made way for the contemporary Native American movement to take its place in history, when he inspired the Alcatraz Occupation in 1969, which served as a catalyst for the nation to take notice of the historic wrongs waged against the Native community that had to be righted.
